DESCRIPTION FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a main lid for a pressure cooker. In particular, the invention encompasses a main lid for pressure cookers with a drain edge that can also be used with conventional cookware. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Pressure cookers are cooking appliances that work according to the principle of increasing the boiling point. Such pressure cookers have a main lid with an overpressure valve, through which the desired working pressure of the cooker is determined. Thus, food products can be cooked at temperatures of around 120 ° C in essentially shorter periods of time.
Pressure cookers are shaped like pressurized containers and must meet high demands in the field of safety. Conventional pressure cookers normally include a pan that has grooves or similar surrounding shapes, in which a correspondingly adjusted lid can be locked. Due to the locking means provided in the pan, pressure cookers are usually not suitable for use as a normal pan for depressurized cooking.
European patent EP 1 416 837 therefore proposes a lid for a pressure cooker that has U-shaped folded claws, by means of which the lid can be locked at the drain edge of a "normal" shaped pan. This pan that has a drainage edge is essentially best suited for use as a normal cooking pan. A disadvantage is that for normal, depressurized use, the complete lid of the pan will have to be replaced. For cleaning, according to the teaching of the aforementioned publication, the locking jaws can be removed. However, this takes a relatively long time, since it is necessary to loosen a nut on the underside of the cover. In this sense, a tool will normally have to be used. Also the lid provided with the claws is just barely suitable for use, they were not locked, like a normal pan lid. Therefore, it is necessary to keep a second lid in reserve for the pressurized operation of the pan. In addition, forming the lid is relatively laborious and complicated.
The German Utility Model DE 20 2009 015 975 features a cooking pan and a module of a cooking pan system - especially a cooking pan for all types of energy and cooking applications / types and different cooking temperatures and pressures , depressurized and pressurized, with heating
or external heating, preferably a pressurized container for steam cooking - having a container for receiving cooking material with a lid that can be closed in a pressurized manner, according to various processes, as well as having a corresponding pressure relief valve technique to the respective standards, as well as other comfort functions, and the cooking container consists of a lid module and a pan module, and the lid module consists of the functional lid with seal and the edge of the pan with cold handles, presenting - with the pan module - a system connection through a solid and dense mechanical interface.
The structure of the cooking vessel consists of a lid module with the functional lid, which is separably joined with the lid of the pan by means of a fixing nut or separable screw, and this combination, by means of a lid lock, is in a sealing connection with the edge of the pan that forms the interface with the pan module.
According to the European patent EP 1 342 440, a pressurized steam cooking appliance with a lid module is presented, consisting of a container and a lid that is intended to be placed on the container, being locked in order to form a watertight closure for cooking, with one or more jaws to lock the lid on the container and with a means to drive at least one jaw between a locked position and an unlocked position, with at least one module that is intended to be positioned on the lid, being removably attached to it, the module having, at least on one side, a control device for locking / unlocking the container lid and, on the other hand, presenting at least one of the following elements , such as a minute counter mechanism, a pressure regulating valve, a pressure sensor, a temperature sensor, an overpressure safety valve, a means of protecting the closing movement opening / opening or a bistable guide means.
In this application, the mechanical-electromechanical interface is arranged between the handle module and the closure / cover assembly; The handle module contains the mechanical and sensory control of the pan and, therefore, the main contacts for the closing assembly and the lid. The handle module is accessible to water. TASK OF THE INVENTION
Given the above, the task of the invention lies in offering a lid for a pressure cooker, whose handling is improved.
In particular, it is a task for the invention to carry out, in a simple way, a so-called lid re-operation for a normal lid without locking. In addition, structuring and cleaning the cover should be simplified. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The object of the invention will already be solved by a lid for a pressure cooker, according to one of the independent claims. Preferred embodiments and extensions of the invention can be inferred from the respective dependent claims. On the one hand, the invention covers a lid for a pressure cooker, especially a lid that can be locked in conventional pans with a drain edge. The cover comprises an upper cover module and a lower cover module; the upper cover module consists of a closing unit and a locking set, being closed by a central plate against the lower cover module. The bottom cover module involves a central sealable cover and a valve assembly. With the expression of central cover, it comprises a lower cover with a surrounding fillet, that is, a ring, which has a seal and which can be integrated into the pan. In addition, the lid comprises a closing unit, which is usually provided with a button, by means of which the lid can be suspended from the pan. To create a pressure-tight container, the lid can be locked in the pan.
According to the invention, the closure unit has means for suspending it from the bottom cover, together with at least part of a locking assembly. The cover thus comprises almost two modules, that is, a lower cover module with a lower cover and a valve arrangement, and an upper cover module with a closing unit, a locking assembly and a central plate. Due to the fact that in the closing unit itself, means are provided to separate it from the lower cover together with the locking assembly, a separation of the upper cover module from the lower cover module can be carried out very simply without , for example, it is necessary to loosen nuts or screws on the lower cover module.
The bottom cover has closing means, in which the closing unit can be attached. After removing the locking unit with the locking set and the central plate - that is, the top cover module - this part of the module can be replaced by a conventional handle set, without a locking mechanism. Therefore, a lower lid is formed, together with this additional handle, a normal lid that is well suited for conventional cooking without pressure or low pressure. Based on this simple possibility of replacement, the user does not need to keep two different lids in stock, that is, a lid for quick cooking and another lid for cooking without pressure, or with low pressure.
In addition, cleaning the lid is facilitated by the fact that the mechanism for removing the closing unit and the closing assembly is provided in the upper cover module, on the upper face of the cover. An activation, for example, of a screw on the underside of the lid usually makes cleaning difficult, because after cooking, the underside may be dirty with food residues.
An extension of the invention resides in the closing unit which can be attached to a valve, preferably arranged centrally in the lower cover. In this advantageous embodiment of the invention, the valve housing, which, for example, is shaped like a hollow cylinder, can be used to fix a closing unit. Therefore, the closing unit does not need to be secured by a separate threaded pin, or similar piece, and the valve attached to the lower cover does not interfere with the use of this lower cover as a normal lid for cooking without pressure, or with low pressure, but it is conformed as slot to receive the other handle.
In this way, as provided for in a preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one valve is integrated in the bottom cover, the hollow valve cylinder of which serves to fix the closure unit or a handle arrangement. In one embodiment of the invention, this valve serves to determine the working pressure of the pan. This means that the valve, integrated in the lower lid, opens at the desired working pressure and, thus, by means of the boiling water temperature, it regulates the temperature inside the pan.
In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the lower cover may also be arranged - or as an additional feature - instead of the valve to determine the working pressure, a safety valve, provided as a second valve, which can open in the event of higher pressure in the event of failure of the other valve and / or which, at pressure, blocks the cover locking assembly, so that it cannot be opened manually.
In an advantageous extension of the invention, the valve is adjustable. This is possible, for example, in a simple way, due to the fact that, by means of a regulating screw, the prestressing of a valve spring can be regulated. Through an adjustable valve of this type, different pressure stages for cooking at different temperatures can be set by the user.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the upper cover module must be separated from the lower cover module by means of a cursor mechanism. A cursor mechanism of this kind involves a cursor, which is joined in a position with positive union, for example, with the collar of a pin fixing a hollow cylinder shaped valve housing. Through a lag of the cursor, it moves to a position, in which the positive union is released. In this way, the upper cover module can be removed, very simply, by applying pressure on the cursor handle, being separated from the lower cover module.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the locking assembly can be activated by means of a button on the closing unit to separate the lid and the pressure cooker. It is provided, in particular, to use fixing claws with U-shaped ends as a locking set, which fit on the drain edge of a pan and on the turning of the closing unit knob, they make a radial movement, at least in the internal direction. - that is, in the direction of the central axis of the pan. Preferably, the direction of movement of the jaws is projected simultaneously upwards, in the direction of the button of the closing unit. In a locked state, it is possible, in this way, that in the formation of pressure, a force is exerted on the claws that is turned inwards. Therefore, an unlock will only be possible with intense force - especially in the case of greater pressure - or not even possible.
In combination with a safety valve that blocks the locking assembly, this action can further improve the safety of the pan. Preferably, the pan comprises two valves, that is, a valve for determining the working pressure, as well as a safety valve, which, for example, blocks the pressurized locking assembly, so that the pan cannot be opened. The safety valve can also be shaped in such a way that it fires at a higher pressure than the other valve, should it fail.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, by at least one of the valves, the lid locking assembly will be locked in a pressurized state. For this purpose, it is provided, for example, that the pin of a safety valve penetrates a corresponding cutout of the closing unit and, thus, with the pressurized pan, blocks a turn of the button of the closing unit, with which it is activated. the cover locking assembly.
In addition, at least one of the valves can activate a pin, which is arranged on the removable part of the cover - especially on the closing unit. For example, this pin can be used to signal the user, optically, the pressure in the pan.
In one embodiment of the invention, the cover involves a central plate, which is integrated as part of the upper module of the cover between the closing unit and the lower cover, and which, at the edge, has cutouts of a surrounding fillet that represents - for the connection threads with the fixing claws - first mounting and guide locations for locking the cover. Through the central plate, the removable upper cover module will be formed together with the locking assembly and the closing unit. In particular, the central plate is used to mount the locking assembly. With the top cover module mounted, the center plate is joined axially non-rotatable with the bottom cover, while the closing unit is swivelably attached to the center plate, so that via the button of the closing claws will be activated in such a way as to lock the lid, which will drag on the ends of the joining threads, opposite to the claws, fit into grooves in the form of circular segments of the central plate, and in mechanical contact with the closing unit rotatable, they carry out a longitudinal movement of the joining threads in a radial direction from a rotating movement of the closing unit.
In another embodiment of the invention, the central plate, together with the closing unit and the locking assembly, can be removed from the lower module of the cover. Between the center plate of the upper cover module and the lower cover of the lower cover module, there is a channel through which steam or gases can escape, which flow through at least one valve. Separately from the top and bottom cover module, this channel can be cleaned particularly easily. In addition, it is a special advantage that the steam escapes only through the channel between the central plate and the lower cover, however it is not drained along the mechanical elements of the locking assembly. Thus, food residues, which are carried away with steam or gases, can establish contact only with the channel wall, which can be cleaned simply, being formed without covered areas.
Preferably, the lid consists of two modules of reciprocally separable lids, the upper lid module comprising a closing unit with a control button and the locking assembly for locking the lid on the drain edge of a pan, as well as the plate cover center and the lower module of a lower cover to cover the pan and a valve assembly.
In addition, the invention covers a lid for a pressure cooker - especially with one or more of the characteristics described above - which covers a bottom lid with a seal and at least one valve.
According to the invention, a locking assembly is arranged on a central plate, which, in turn, is arranged between the lower cover and the closing unit, forming part of the upper cover module. The central cover can be removed from the lower cover with the locking unit and the locking set, and between the center plate and the lower cover a channel is formed, through which the steam that leaves the environment can flow into the free environment. least one valve. By the use of a channel, integrated between a central plate and a lower cover, it can be avoided, to a large extent, that the vapor or gases make contact with the mechanics of the locking set and that the locking mechanism, which is relatively difficult to be cleaned, it will become dirty by particles in the steam and gases.
In addition, the invention covers a lid for a pressure cooker, which covers a bottom lid with a seal and at least one valve to determine the working pressure. In addition, a safety valve is part of the lower cover. According to the invention, at least one of the valves is housed in the shape of a hollow cylinder - as a fitting, in which the closing unit is attached, in positive union, separable from the top module of the cover. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig. 1 shows a schematic sectional view of a pressure cooker 1 according to an example of the invention. The pressure cooker comprises a pan 3 with a drain edge 4, as well as a lid 2. The pressure cooker is shaped as a pressurized container. Through the closing unit 6, a locking mechanism can be activated, with which the lid will be blocked at the drain edge of the pan. Through the lip seal 5, the pan will be sealed. The cover includes a valve for fixing the working pressure, as well as a safety valve 8. Fig. 2 shows a detailed view of the cover, shown in Fig. 1, in which the details can be better recognized - especially the set of valves. The lid 2 comprises an inner lid 9, which is placed over the pan and has a seal (5 in Fig. 1). A first valve 7 is mounted on the inner cover, on which the working pressure of the pressure cookers is determined. The valve - here only the valve housing is shown - is secured with a nut 10 in the center of the inner cover 9. A inner cover and valve set are an integral part of a lower cover module. In addition, a closure unit 6 is part of the cover, which is rotatably mounted in the valve housing. For this purpose, the valve housing comprises a surrounding groove 12, in which the closing unit can be secured by means of the cursor 11. In this sense, a channel 26 for a spring is preferably provided (not shown), with the which the cursor is pressed out. By pressing the cursor, it can be moved, against molar force, to a position, in which the connection with positive union is released in the groove of the valve housing. The locking unit, in addition, is switably connected with a central plate 15. By turning the locking unit, the cover can be locked on claws, as follows - with respect to the other drawings - it will be explained further. in more detail. The closing unit and the central plate are part of an upper cover module. In addition, the lower cover 9 comprises another valve, arranged off-center, which, in this embodiment, is shaped like a safety valve 8. The safety valve is also attached to the inner cover. The safety valve is shaped like a ball valve with a ball 18, which is pressed by a spring against a sealing face. A sealing ring 7 serves to seal the valve housing. Is it understood that also in relation to the valve other sealing means may be present. The upper section of the safety valve comprises an upper section 13, by means of which a cooking pin 14, integrated in the closing unit, can be activated. Through the cooking pin it is possible to check if the pan is pressurized. Through the upper part, which, under pressure, fits into a cutout of the closing unit 6, it is prevented that the closing unit can be rotated with the pressurized pan, thus enabling the locking mechanism to be activated. By depressing the cooking pin, the pressure cooker can also be drained off, so that it can be opened next. Both the valve housing 7, as well as the valve housing 8, have side channels 19, through which steam can escape to a channel 16, formed between the bottom cover 9 and the central plate 15. How the central plate can be removed together with the closing unit 6, the channel can be cleaned in an especially simple way. Especially, with this arrangement there is no leakage of steam and gases in the claws of the locking mechanism. Fig. 3 shows a perspective view of a cover. The bottom cover 9 can be seen, which is surrounded by three clamping claws 20, shaped in a U shape. The clamping claws are coupled with the closing unit 6 by means of connection threads 22. The closing unit has a button 21 , with which the entire cover can be removed. To activate the locking mechanism, the closing unit can be rotated using the button. When the pan is locked, the clamping jaws move inwards and fit, in this action, to the drain edge of the pan. To remove the module from the top cover that covers the locking unit and the locking mechanism, the cursor 11 can be pressed and a partial upper module, which involves the locking mechanism, can be removed. The components of the top cover module are presented in perspective view according to Fig. 4. The three clamping claws 20 can be seen, which are coupled with the closing unit 6 connection thread arabes 2. In the presentation , the closing unit is closed from below by the central plate 15. After removing the upper cover module, the part of the lower cover module remains - as shown in perspective view according to Fig. 5 - with the lower cover 9, which surrounds a surrounding seal 5. In addition, the valve 7 is mounted on the lower cover, the valve housing of which covers the groove 12 on the upper edge for fixing the closing unit 6. In this view, channels 19, provided in the housing of the valve, through which steam can escape. The safety valve 8 is also arranged on the bottom cover and also involves channels 32, through which pressure can escape; both channels lead to channel 16, formed between the central plate 15 and the bottom cover. This lower cover module can now receive a new cover without a locking mechanism (not shown), without the locking mechanism, and can therefore be used as a lid for depressurized cooking or low pressure cooking. Preferably, this cover covers both the valve and the safety valve. Based on the use of the upper cylinder of the valve as a retention for the closing unit and due to the fact that the safety valve is arranged in the immediate vicinity, it is possible to cover both valves with a cover. In this way, the lid 2 does not differ optically from a conventional lid for cooking without pressure or with low pressure; it is not necessary to keep in stock a second or another lid for cooking without pressure. Fig. 6 shows a perspective view of the closing unit 6 of the top cover module, which comprises a slider 11 for removing the closing wave - often with the locking mechanism (not shown). The slider is movably mounted with a pin 23 on the button 21 of the closing unit. In addition, the button contains a perforation for fitting the upper section 13 of the safety valve 8, as well as its extension towards the outside, as cooking pin 14. Fig. 7 shows a perspective view of the cursor 11.0 cursor covers a cutout 1 24 with a larger diameter and another cutout 2 25, with a smaller diameter, which intersects this cutout 1. In the basic position, that is, when the stroke was not laterally pressed through its handle, cutout 2 is under a collar , arranged in the valve housing 7 and thus provides a separable positive union. When pressing the cursor laterally, it will be moved from its inactive position to a position, in which the cutout 1, of greater diameter, coincides axially with the collar of the corresponding valve cylinder. In this way, the positive union will be released and the closing unit 6 can be removed. Pin 23 prevents the cursor from being expelled in channel 26 of its housing by the spring provided (not shown), which is formed by button 21 of the closing unit. Fig. 8 shows a perspective view of a lid 2 with the lid module that is sectioned along an axial projection plane. The U-shaped claws 20 can be seen clearly, which can be positioned under the drain edge 4 of a pan 3 (not shown). Through the lip seal 5 the pot with the lid will be sealed. Fig. 9 shows a sectional view of the top module of the cover, which essentially covers the closing unit 6, the central plate 15 and the clamping claws 20. To clamp the closing unit and claws, a central plate, which, in assembled condition, forms the mechanical interface between the upper cover module and the lower cover 9 and the lower cover module. With reference to Fig. 10, to explain other details, it shows a perspective view of the central plate 15 from below, as part of the upper cover module, with the corresponding face For the lower cover 9. The central plate involves a central cutout 3 27, which, in an assembled state, is positioned over the valve (7 in Fig. 5) which is located in the center on the lower cover. In addition, the central plate covers another cutout 4 28, which, when mounted, is positioned over the safety valve (8 in Fig. 5)., Because the safety valve housing, in the shape of a cylinder hollow <is located in the cutout 4, provided off-center, the central plate - in assembled state - cannot be rotated axially in relation to the lower cover. In addition, the central plate 15 also covers channel 16, whereby - in assembled state - it is checks steam and water flow between the center plate and the bottom cover. It is understood that channel 167 may have marginal seals, which are not shown in more detail in this example of execution. To apply a seal O, a seal groove 36 may be integrated, for example, on the edge. Fig. 11 shows other details of the central plate 15 and the locking mechanism as part of the upper cover module. The central plate comprises a marginal thread 31, which, in the area of the connecting threads 22, is cut in the direction of the claws 20. As already described, in the assembled state, the central plate will be axially fixed due to the cutout 28, as well as on the safety valve cylinder 8. The connecting threads cover cutouts 5 33, which, as will be shown below, cooperate with the closing unit 6. The central plate covers grooves 29 that extend in a segmented circle shape , with views to the guide of the connection threads with the claws. Fig. 12 shows, in perspective, the bottom side of the closing unit 6 of the top cover module. According to the number of the connecting threads 22, the pins 30 belong to the closing unit, which, in an assembled state, fit into the cutouts 5 33 of the connecting threads, as shown in Fig. 11. If, now, button 21 of the locking unit is rotated relative to the central plate 15, the pins 30 - as a drag - accompany the movement in the grooves 29 and the claws can thus be moved radially outward or inward. Preferably, the slots or pins are shaped like mushrooms and can serve for fixing the drag plate, connection threads and closing unit, which have a larger diameter below the grooves. Also the cut-out 5 27 and a segment 34 in a hollow cylindrical shape, arranged in the closure unit, can form a swivel joint that keeps the central plate and the closure unit together. The closing unit also includes the cutout 6 35, into which the upper part 13 of the safety valve (8 in Fig. 5) can be projected with the cooking pin 14, thus preventing a rotation of the button of the closing unit when the pan is pressurized. With the present invention, a pressure cooker with simplified handling will be advantageously offered.
